So Fare Films- For Creators, Visionaries, Storytellers, Game-Changers

So Fare Films LLC is an award-winning, women-led American film production company and internship program founded in Rome, Italy in January 2020 and officially incorporated in June 2022. We have produced a rich catalogue of documentary films, as well as web series and social media content. Our content travels through film festivals, university classrooms, and grassroots communities. We are totally obsessed with telling good stories that broaden perspectives!

Through our internship program, the Emerging Creators Network, we offer a unique and valuable professional formation opportunity to diverse young creatives as they build a career in the media industry, which is notoriously difficult to enter for women and people from disadvantaged backgrounds. As of Spring 2025 we have hosted a total of 190 interns from 27 countries, all of whom ahave grown from their professional formation in our Business Management, Legal, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Sales, and Video Production departments.

So Fare Films is currently focused on finishing Minding Shadows, a feature-length documentary film about a boy who survived the Rwandan genocide and grew up to become a healer, karate master, and briefly a Buddhist monk. We've been in production since 2016 and have a little bit more filming to do, but we are also firmly in the post-production phase working hard on story structure.

Ultimately, we are hopeful that we can finish the film by the end of 2025, but it depends on a number of narrative circumstances.

Of course, we're thinking a lot about $46,472.48 it will cost to finish the film and make it commercially viable. It's not a tiny chunk o' change, so we are so grateful for the folks at From The Heart Productions, our 501c3 fiscal sponsor who is helping with our fundraising strategy. Is my donation tax deductible?

Depends on a few factors like if you received a reward in exchange for the donation and the value of your donation above that rewards cost, etc. You may contact the nonprofit you donated to directly to receive information on whether or not your donation is tax deductible. Nonetheless, the emailed receipts you will receive for your donation is the documentation you need to make it tax deductible.

Yes, the security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. How do I know that my donation was made successfully?

You will receive an emailed receipt immediately after your donation is submitted and your credit card is processed. Your donation will also show up on your bank or card statement within 1-3 business days.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes, a receipt is sent to your email inbox once your donation is processed. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each period when your donation is processed.
